A Good Hanging

I have just finished reading a book called ' A Good Hanging'. his book was written by Ian Rankine. The book contained twelve short crime related stories and it was a fantastic book to read.

The book had text that was easy to read and understand. The stories all had fantastic storylines, they kept you hooked, i was unable to put the book down.

The book was about various crimes that had taken place in and around the city of Edinburgh. Inspector Rebus had many different cases to solve covering everything from murder to conmen trying to con old ladies. However the short story that i enjoyed the most was 'Concrete Evidence'. Concrete evidence was about the murder of Mr Ford, the business partner of Mr Abbott. Mr Abbott had struck Mr Ford over the head with something and buried him under the floor in the cellar of a wine merchants. Mr Abbott then made out that Mr Ford had drowned after a tragic accident while out on a fishing trip, knowing only to well that Mr Ford had never even been on the boat in the first place. But what reasons did Mr Abbott have to kill Mr Ford? I would suggest that you read this book, it really is a fantastic book to read.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I give this book a star rating of five, it was easy to read and was very well written. Well done! the author. Any fan of crime T.V shows will love this book.
