The Lost Boy

I have recently read the most amazing book called 'The Lost Boy'. This book was written by Dave Pelzer. The book was a true story and was part of the 'A Child Called It' sequel.

The book had text that was easy to read and understand. The storyline kept you hooked from the very first page. I felt that the book at homehad a very emotional storyline. I was upset at a few things in the book however it was fantastic reading and i couldn't put the book down.

The story was about a young lad named Dave. As Dave was growing up he was never respected at home. The story followed Dave in his emotional journey to find the love of a real family. With all the possessions that he owned in a a torn carrier bag, Dave was rescued from the alcoholic mother who was physically abusing him and placed in foster care. In this story Dave relives his life as Dave the foster child, in and out of various different homes. Dave was constantly made to feel as though he was unloved and unwanted. All through the book Dave never seemed to have any good things happen to him, he was accused of trying to set fire to a classroom, he was beaten up by other kids at school and he was banned from seeing his brothers and family. Dave always hoped that he would find the love of a real family, but did this happy occasion ever come and did Dave ever find the love of a real family?

I give this book a rating of five it was a fantastic story that done nothong but pull on the heart strings. I hav to say i did have a few tears appear but it was a very emotional story. Well Done! to the author.
